
ADULT SPORTS PROGRAMS
The adult sports program offers men and women an opportunity to participate in organized leagues in a recreational setting. Registration is accepted on a "team basis" only. Divisional classifications range from top-flight play to low-level recreational leagues in a variety of sports. The adult program offers play in basketball, roller hockey, slow-pitch, fast-pitch and modified fast-pitch softball, and volleyball.
Adult Sports Leagues
The City of Burbank is a member of the Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation (SCMAF). The mission of SCMAF is to provide and promote sports training and competition in response to and conducted by its members. The City of Burbank provides opportunities to develop physical fitness and lifelong skills in a variety of team sports for persons of all ages and abilities. Our philosophy is to instill a positive attitude, good sportsmanship, sound fundamentals, confidence, and high moral standards. The City of Burbank and SCMAF seek to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship and participation.
Burbank resident teams receive priority registration. Players living in Burbank or work in Burbank based companies are considered resident teams. Rosters containing 100% or 80% Burbank residents must provide proof of residency or employment in the City of Burbank. Players may only play for one team in each the league. For example, a player may participate in both co-ed and slow pitch softball, but may not participate in two different co-ed teams. Adult Basketball
The City of Burbank basketball league includes play for both men and women in the winter, summer, and fall. There are leagues for adults 40 years and older, open leagues, and women's league. Men's leagues play during the week. The women's league plays on Sunday.
Adult Roller Hockey
Look for Community Sports Foundation, operator of the Burbank Roller Hockey Rink at Foy Park to be rolling out programs this season. Adult Roller Hockey is played at the outdoor hockey rink located at Foy Park. The Roller Hockey program is sanctioned by USA Hockey InLine. Adult Softball
The City of Burbank's Softball program is offered year round. Fast Pitch Leagues include men's on Wednesday, women's on Sunday, and modified on Friday. Slow Pitch Leagues include men's on Tuesday and Thursday, women's on Wednesday, and church on Friday (summer only). Coed Slow Pitch Leagues include open on Sunday and corporate on Monday.
Adult Volleyball
The City of Burbank offers volleyball year round. Leagues include women's 6-player in the winter, women's 4-player and co-ed in the summer, and men's 4-player and reverse co-ed in the fall.

Player Referral List
Individual players interested in playing these sports should contact the Sport Office at 818.238.5330. Names will be placed on a "Player Referral List." This list will be distributed to teams needing players on a first-come basis. There is no guarantee of placement on a team.
