The Redevelopment Agency Board of the City of Burbank is accepting applications until Thursday, September 30, 2010 for a two-year term on the Burbank Housing Corporation ending on November 1, 2012. The member appointed by the Redevelopment Agency Board serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the non-profit Burbank Housing Corporation, which consists of nine members. The Board receives no compensation.
Chartered in 1997 with the assistance of the City’s Redevelopment Agency, the Corporation’s mission is to preserve, upgrade and develop affordable housing opportunities in Burbank and to provide a safe, service-enriched environment for the residents in our communities. The City of Burbank and the Redevelopment Agency have provided funding to assist the Burbank Housing Corporation to acquire, for the purpose of rehabilitation, over 270 rental units, all of which are restricted in perpetuity to extremely-low, very-low, low or moderate-income households.
Anyone interested in applying for this vacancy can obtain an application form on the City's Web Site or pick up an application in the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall, 275 East Olive Avenue. The deadline for submitting an application to the City Clerk is Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. with the appointment scheduled to be made at the October 19, 2010 Redevelopment Agency Board meeting.

All City Board, Commission and Committee members serve without compensation from the City (BMC Section 2-1-405) and must be electors of and actually reside in the City. No person shall serve on more than one Board, Commission or Committee at the same time.
