Greg Herrmann was appointed Interim Community Development Director in 2009. He has worked for the City of Burbank for 20 years in various positions within the Community Development Department. He started as Assistant Planner, then Associate, was later promoted to Principal Planner for Advance Planning and Transportation, then to Assistant Community Development Director for Transportation. Most recently, as Chief Assistant Community Development Director/City Planner, his duties have included overseeing the Planning and Transportation Division.
Herrmann is a graduate of California State University, Chico with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. He also has a Masters of Science degree in Geography from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Masters of Arts degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Southern California.
