Ray Krakowski was named Fire Chief in 2010. Chief Krakowski began his career with the City of Burbank Fire Department as a Firefighter 29 years ago. He continued to rise through the ranks as Paramedic, Engineer, Captain and Battalion Chief. He also served as Assistant Fire Chief, in charge of budget, personnel and other administrative functions for five years. He is a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, California Fire Chiefs Association and Los Angeles Area Fire Chiefs.
Chief Krakowski has a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Protection Administration from California State University, Los Angeles and is currently enrolled in the Masters in Public Administration program at California State University, Northridge. The Chief likes to spend his free time with his wife, Trish, and their children Michelle, Krista and Devon.
